Lathe Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC Lathe machines to produce high-quality components and parts. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining processes. The CNC Machinist will work with various materials, including plastics, and will be instrumental in ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, including Haas controllers, to produce high-precision parts.
  • Program and edit G-code at the controller and use GibbsCAM software.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate tools; perform tool offsets and adjustments.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using micro meters, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; adhere to all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist.
  • Proficiency in programming with GibbsCAM and at the controller (Haas experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and GD&T.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of ateam.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Own set of basic machinist tools required.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented shipping and receiving associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Hours of operation are 7am-3pm.

Duties:

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks to move products safely and efficiently.
  • Operate a bandsaw to cut materials to length.
  • Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials as required.
  • Accurately pack orders for shipment, ensuring quality and completeness.
  • Maintain an organized environment through effective inventory management practices, monitor and update the material inventory.
  • Utilize warehouse management ERP system to track inventory movements andupdates and create internal purchase orders.
  • Utilize the ERP system to receive material, document packing slip numbers,material heat numbers, and location of material within the company.
  • Utilize customer electronic portals for shipping and receiving materials.
  • Assist in the fabrication of products as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment.
  • Utilize customer portals, FedEx portals, and UPS portals to book trucks and createshipments.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and reach trucks is required.
  • Strong understanding of material handling techniques.
  • Experience with packing and shipping processes
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the warehouse environment, as well as customer communication.
  • Proficiency with use of computers and navigation a must.
